Hi, I’m Alliey. I'm a freelance writer, editor, and researcher specializing in storytelling, media, and history. I’m also a proud ENFJ—which means I lead with heart, curiosity, and a commitment to helping others shine their brightest. Think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, Amy March from Little Women, or Judy Hopps from Zootopia.
I hold an MFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University and a BA in English from Mills College, where I double-minored in History and Asian Studies. My academic and creative background fuels my passion for crafting content that’s well-researched, audience-driven, and rooted in meaningful storytelling.
Before launching my freelance business, I spent several years working in education, including three years teaching English and coordinating events and social media in Japan through the JET Program. While I loved working with students, I was especially inspired by the creativity and storytelling that went into the work behind the scenes. That realization led me to pursue writing, editing, and research full-time.
Now, I collaborate with clients in entertainment, pop culture, education, and historical research to help them tell impactful stories. From blog posts and content development to manuscript editing and deep-dive research, I draw on over a decade of experience in academic writing, blogging, and narrative content creation.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m writing my debut book (hopefully coming by the end of 2026!).
In my spare time, you’ll find me curled up with a good book and a cup of coffee, baking gluten-free treats, or hiking the best trails Southern California has to offer. I’m also a longtime lover of photography, fandom culture, and creative media—and I probably watch Jeopardy! and daydream about story ideas more often than I should. I'm a huge fan of tacos thanks to my SoCal roots, but ramen and okonomiyaki hold a special place in my heart as a former gaijin.
